Please help me and other users of this forum to purchase
new nice camcorder with Pass-Through feature and 16x9 at
afordable price.

i already know that most cheap and mid range camcorders use
fake 16x9 mode - but that is ok because not many ppl
can afford top of the line cams.

Most users have this uses in mind:
:)Record old analog Hi8/VHS/SVHS home videos
:)Edit Home Videos on computer
:)Record 16x9 home videos (even if it is fake 16x9)

Please post links to reviews and write your own expirience.
Any aditional links that explains this tasks are apreciated.

Canon's ZR series of camcorders is what you're looking for. It has analog input, real 16x9 (not a simple letterbox on a 4:3 image, but it is anamoprhich), and has 1394 (Firewire) for PC DV-editing. some of the cheapest out there, ~$500-$600. it also is very customizable: white level, focus, etc. are all manually adjustable. best deal for an amateur just looking to shoot video. search on Google for "miniDV camcorder review" and you should find a ton of review sites.
