Need chapters - Need Info

Hi, I ripped my dvd, but it was too big. So I reencoded using TMPGEnc at a lower bitrate.

I was left with the usual m2v and ac3 files, so I want to create the vobs.

I used IFOEdit, "author a new dvd", i select the video and audio - BUT I also want chapters.

So I saw the option to add chapters in IFOEdit (just under where u add the video and audio files). I used chapter xtractor, and saved the file as "CellTimes.txt", I then added this file to IFOEdit, and created the new vob files.

I made an image, and burned to dvd.

DVD works fine, guess what - no chapters.

Anyone know how I can create chapters using IFOEdit, when authoring a new dvd?

yes, but you have to create them with ifoedit before you author a new DVD.
you need the original .ifo for that...
open it in ifoedit and in the tools menu, chose save celltimes to file. that is a text file you'll need when authoring the dvd.
you can't just "create" chapters anywhere you like, with ifoedit...
or at least without an unecessary amount of work!!
