DVD2SVCD lock up problem

I've been encoding avi files to DVD compliant using dvd2svcd and cce 2.5. Everythings works fine on movies unde 2 hours but if I try it on file over 2 hours cce locks up. Anyone have any ideas why?

CCE freezing is a very common issue please do a search.
