windows based tool to downgrade pioneer A04 firmware

Hi all,
I have the A04 running via firewire on my XP Pro machine. It is currently running firmware 1.33 and I want to downgrade to 1.31 to enable 2x writing. I found a dos util to downgrade, but it will not work with firewire. Anyone having a tool or link to a downgrade utility that will run in Windows would be greatly appreciated.

Downgraded to firmware 1.31.. works great at 2x now.
