mosaic in picture

i've got mosaic in picture after compression with CCE, but it seems there's no problem in DVD2AVI after decryption with smartripper or dvddcryter.
What's going wrong ?

Do you mean that if you use DVD2AVI to frameserve your NEW (CCE-encoded) file back to AVI, there is no problem, or are you referring to the DVD2AVI output of the original VOBs, prior to feeding it to CCE?

If you mean you only have the problem when playing or frameserving the CCE-encoded file, then it sound to me very much like you have not used enough bitrate for your encode.

Please be more specific and I'll try to assist.

when i open Vob files in DVD2AVI and preview the film, all is ok
but after that, in CCE i use these parameters One pass VBR Minimum 0 max 9500 and quantization factor between 20 and 50 (because i don' t want to compress too much the film)
Finally there's Mosaic in the picture...

Hmm.. your settings look fine to me. That is very strange. I can't honestly think of a reason why at the moment, but I promise to get back to you if anything occurs to me. Also, please re-post here if and when you find the cause because I am interested to know what it is.
