Do most US DVD players support MPEG2 sound? My Pioneer doesn't but my Apex does. It seems all the normal type DVD authoring apps that someone would use for home movies only work with MPEG2 files, and I would like to just buy a new DVD player that will support MPEG2 sound. Does anyone know of any that do? I really don't want another Apex

not super-sure if all do, but a sure-fire way to get one that does is get a player that specifically states "VCD/SVCD playback". they use MP2 sound, thus the player supports it. i'm sure someone else will come with a better answer.
