New CPU on the market

Does anyone have a experience with the Intel 3.06ghz multithreading CPU? Also the new SCSI 320 drives? I sure would like to know before I spend 5k on a new rendering system.

Try big hardware sites as anandtech , tomshardware , sharkyextreme , har[ocp] and there is plenty of info..

in the dvd encoding forum, there is a thread or two about hyperthreading, keep an eye on them.
