it can be caused by a certain incompatibility between your standalone and the media or media burnt too fast (2x when it should be at 1x).
there are some that say it can also be a software matter.
what media are you using. is it DVD-R or DVD+R ????
what drive do you have and what software do you use??

Are you using ifoedit to create an image? if not try that to start with, and then burn the resulting .img file with primo DVD.

i would like to, but when i'm try to do that, there's an error appear. "can't find imglib.dll". even it is already in my system. i'm tryied to use imgtools as well, but there was another report about missing video_ts.vob file. this is content of my video_ts folder: video_ts.ifo&bup and then four *vob files with main video stream.

ok problem with imgtools was fixed up, but the end results is the same. again freezing movie. not as much as before but u know. i think the memorex is not so good then i will try imation or something. my only problem is to find a good shop right here in slovakia. i'm just looked to the other forums for dvd-r brands but i can't recognize lots of them. MERITLINE?? but on the other side there no test for INTENSO.

Did you re encode the movie ?
because, if you have a still image at the beginning of chapters, that's probably because you forget to import chapters point in CCE.
