I don't like replys like that, even if it was a joke. Please avoid it next time.
Well, ok, i will, but the most aggressive and hardest as jokes to understand jokes with many :devil: and stuff i've seen in this forum were yours (RV9 nerd) so I thought you'd understand this kind of humor. especially since you started with that suicide-comment. And you wouldn't even had had to post any of that "Or am I totally wrong"-stuff if you had read this post, especially the very last on before you started posting correctly. So I was a little bit in a mood for a nasty post.
But ok, sorry for that, i'll remove it.

Now let's get on with anamorphic encoding.

have you already found a way to create 2CD anamorphic encodes with more than 1 sound track?

Hum...

Nope. RMFactory only supports 1 CD / movie, with at max 2 track, with chapters and subtitles.

AutoRV9 1.3 will do it.

There is a diff between serious comments and funny one. Yours fitted more in serious ones. Have you done some tests with anamorphic?

Yes, you can do a 2 CD-rip by using chapters at extract time.

probably I'm trying to explain something dead trivial here but hear me out, you're really got to know someone a little better prior to using such a Hugh amount of irony in regards to that person, you see I know Sirber for a while know, he's my good friend, I'd even say my brother in soul,I shares his opinions almost upon everything(Besides his RV9 fixation, I don't like any kind of fixation) we often talk off-line about various thing, and if I'd post something like this for example he wouldn't take it as an insult, check this out.;)

@Sirber LOL your anamorphic attempt turned out as a complete disaster; imagine if your screen size was set to extremely high rez like 2048x1536, in that case you'd have to prevent like hmm... 13!! "Useless resizes" instead of only two.. :D :)

Anyway reading your last post I understand what actually happens here and I think we'll get along just fine from now on.:)

Here for anamorphic with RMFactory

-eg 'after crop' value is 716 * 552 ( pal dvd )
-for anamorph resize, you want final height = original height : so resize up the width until u get the nearest floor value for height ( 992 * 544 ) , then crop vertically down to 544( and 714 for width to minimize aspect ratio error )
-one can check by editing avs script the "resize is done by producer" and editing producer command line in codec tab ."

Hi! this is to all people who, like me, feel that they cannot wait for AutoRv9 becoming anamorphic capable. Here is what I have found. I you modify the automatically created smils for playback with subtitles in the way shown below you can force anamorphic playback by r1. The values for height and width, of course, depend on your needs. As you can see, I have entered the values in the root layout which might not be optimal. I don't know better yet.

So what's the use? Well now you can encode your movie in AutoRv9 as usual. you just have to edit the avs script so that no resizing is done by avisynth. Just put a '#' before the relevant line. If you will have to do the same for the extra avs file that is generated for credits encoding, idon't know. But I think, Autorv9 should take over the ammendments to the avs script.



blue text must be inserted
red text must be deleted
green text is optional

Please, this is first attempt. so, check your results before burning to disc.

So you encode whitout resizing and "anamorphic" using smil :) That's great.

Soon RMFactory will be out... :)

My sharpest and detaillest encode with RV9 is when using the anamorphic method. Whitout it, I never had blurry results except Saving Private Ryan on 1 CD :)

I just finished my first anamorphic rv9 encode and the quality is just awesome.Although the resulting movie is displayed too squashed on my 4:3 tv so i will proberbly redo it with an increased vertical or decreased horizontal resolution to correct this.
I am currently using Mplayer for Real video playback.Here is the relevent part of the mplayer output:

VDec: vo config request - 720 x 432 (preferred csp: Planar I420)
Could not find matching colorspace - retrying with -vop scale...

VDec: using Planar I420 as output csp (no 0)

I am using Mplayer for windows.Currently there is no seeking for rv9,i'm not sure if it is the same for linux.I am going to try http://movix.sourceforge.net/ or http://womp.sourceforge.net/.I would like to put my rv9 files on a DVD-R with one of these set to autoplay,I still need to find out if dvd-r is supported first.

Hi there guys, have you tried the new AutoRV9 1.3b. it has the anamorphic option & it works. so no need of editing the avisynth files! :p it is still beta & doesn't have all the features of 1.2, but it works fine with me.

actually, there was a discussion the "anamorphic" in AutoRV9 1.3b1 here

since it does not quite do anamorphic in the sense usually associated with this term... I think DC will have that fixed in the next version though. One tool that currently does true anamorphic RV9 encoding is rmfactory, as discussed in the current thread (Anamorphic encoding with RV9).

when you encode in anamorphic you enlarge the video no?

(720x432 => 1016x432)

you must have lesser quality since you enlarge the video ...

You can change the display size of an rmvb with this tool:

However, unless they have been encoded with the right size to begin with, they can not be "made" anamorphic afterwards. Many good explanations of anamorphic video can be found via google:

Had a DvD rip-vp6 high kbps 640x336-used 320x336 encode-total 250 kbps including audio-used
