Amelie Subtitle problems

Hi There,
I am TRYING to encode Amelie, but am having problems , following the gknot guide, at one point it says that Vobsub will make 2 files in the folder you specify, and yet later on it says of the THREE files , select the ifo, well I only get 2 files, and there isnt an ifo file there, I have a .sub and a .idx file. Do I use the .sub file ? or should I do something else.

EDIT: I just noticed that there is an IFO file but it is where I put all the VOB files from dvd ripper.

Vobsub used to put 3 files in the folder -- and when the packaged Vobsub with Gknot was updated, it dropped to only 2 files. The guide is a little out of date.

One of these files is correct, but it's been so long since I've done a Vobsub rip, I can't remember which one -- the .sub or the .idx -- works properly. If you try the one, and you have problems, just try the other.

Well, I think you need both files. In the .idx there are the time points, and in the sub are the subtitles themselves.

Well I selected the .sub file to use, and it worked fine.
