Ok, I've read the Q&A and noticed one thing that struck me. The Nimo Codec Pack was mentioned, and I have installed it. I cannot encode anything in XviD without it playing back all green. I have tried various players, and the only player which can show the video is BSPlayer, but it shows it incredibly distorted and parts of the video get lost (for lack of a better word) or shifted incredibly.
My questions:
Is there any way to fix this issue without (as you so eloquently put it in the Q&A) reformatting to remove the bad filters?
Also, I've noticed that my computer can play others' XviD encodes fine, even in WMP 7.x, so I assume 'decompression' from the XviD filter I have is not the problem.
Technical information:
I have installed Koepi's XviD alpha release (09122002-1) so it's a fairly recent version (if not the most recent, I haven't kept up :p )
