Is there a way to mount the files that ImgTools .99 and up creates, which is only the .nrg format? .89 created .img files which Daemon tools could mount but that doesn't seem to be an option any more. Thanks for your help

Just use the older ImgTools 89....the 99 version kinda sux (in my opinion), cause it uses nero to make the images...i might as well use my own nero to do that

@ fxer80
You can mount the "nrg" Image using the Nero own ImageDrive.
@atreides93
What do you think Nero makes different? The goal of ImgTool 0.99.x was to make DVD burning as easy as possible. Is there any problem with ImgTool while DVD burning?

hi Coujo,
I thought someone said that the 0.99 versions use the Nero api to generate the image, but the older version used another DLL or api to do it...i don't trust nero because people seem to have problems burning dvd's with nero.
I am currently using DVD Decryptor to burn DVD images now :)

I agree with atreides93.
There have been certain debates in the forums about burning with Nero in DVD video mode directly or making the image first with ImgTools 0.89 and then burning (e.g. with Decrypter).
Using Nero to burn directly is *totaly* unstable. Theoretically, both should be the same, but I reckon the guys at ahead forgot to read the full specs for dvd video burning. 5/10 cases I tried with nero in DVD mode (with many different settings and dvdr) gave me coasters. ImgTools 0.89 never did - infinite thanks Coujo!!!
Now, about ImgTools 0.99, I am sure it parameterises the burning DLLs much better than the Nero GUI (and its pathetic DVD video mode template, but still I cannot trust Nero.
1) Coujo, do you care to share with us the parameters you use to call the Nero API and how this (speculate here) might differ from burning directly with Nero in DVD video mode?
2) I read somewhere that you had copyright problems with the DLLs you used for image creation in 0.89. Is this true?
Best regards & keep up the very good work.

Not that easy Answer because I'm not sure what parameters Ahead uses in Nero. I use ISO/UDF bridge, high compat mode and reallocation if checked. In the future release there will be a possibility to change also the ISO/UDF/Joliet/Mode2 flags. The file sorting is done by ImgTool and also the "uppercase check". The Jacket_p dir is included...

Not yet but it's only a question of time... I've taken the ImgLib.dll which does the job in ImgTool 0.89 from Authoringwares DVD Wise. Of course I've taken the free Demo version but this doesn't matter I think. To avoid trouble I've removed all Authoringware Libs...
But only another comment about the ImgLib: This is also not a standard conform implementation. The lib will create a AUDIO_TS dir but will locate it after the VIDEO_TS dir and thats not standard conform...
Greets, CouJo!
