Please, I'm begging someone to tell me what to do. I usually produce an image in imgtools. Then I burn using dvd decrypter at 1x to keep playback problems down. I have also tried this method with nero and maestro with same results. When I press the burn button in dvd decrypter, the burn speed is not 1x. It is at 2.5 to 2.6x. This gives me discs I can watch on my pc, but not on my standalone. This is my ultimate goal (for standalone). I have tried everything I know to set this speed to no avail. I have a tdk dvd+rw burner and memorex discs that say I can burn to 2.5x. I just cannot adjust the settings to burn slower. Please, please help.

Sounds like you've got an old version of DVD Decrypter. Might I suggest you upgrade to the latest version!

Love your program Lightning. Unfortunately, it is 3.1.4.0 that I am using. I can change the speed settings in dvd decrypter to 1x, but when I am burning the image, the speed it says on the screen says 2.5-2.6x. It usually burns in about 19 minutes. I would appreciate more help if you've got the time. I am going today to buy different media to see if that helps. I'll keep you informed.

Do you think the aspi needs changing?

Oh, in that case, perhaps it just cant be changed.
Perhaps dvd+r have to be burnt at that speed.
Earlier versions of dvd decrypter didnt support setting the speed at which dvds burnt, only cds - Hence I greyed the option out when in 'dvd' mode. I thought that was what you meant :)

In dvd decrypter, the speed setting is not grayed out, only in nero. I have set the setting in dvd decrypter from max to 1x, but she still burns with 2.5-2.6x. I've changed the aspi, asapi, all of those. But the good news is this. Apparently I'm still quite the noob at this. I think I figured it was the vts sectors in my ifo file. I swore I pushed that button in ifoedit. Dvd decrypter does burn these discs now, but I'm still curious as to why I can't burn slower if I need to so as to avoid playback problems in my standalone. I appreciate your program. It is excellent.
