View Full Version : Underflow while encoding?

Hi all,

I have been reading the many threads on the issue of underflow which seem to remain un-answered. I wondered if anyone knows

of any way to avoid this happening.

To be specific to what I have been doing with this particular task, As a Maestro learning exersise, I spent all day

re-authoring 24 Hour Party People (R2). Building the menus and links etc.

From my rip via DVD Decrypter, I transcoded the main movie set with ReMpeg as usual, (unfortunately it had to be reduced to

65% to fit on DVD-5) .. but anyway, when viewing the resulting M2V I encountered a shake or pulsing effect every second or

two throughout the full movie. Encoding at 50% produces a much amplified shake with extreme jerking of the picture.
I decided to build the movie anyway to check out the result. When compiling has completed, Maestro reports underflow and that

the stream exceeds the maximum bitrate.

Is this a Rempeg flaw or am I missing something? Is it caused by a field order problem? Is there anyway to correct it or

preferably avoid it?

Any ideas anyone ?

Thanks all, appreciate any help you can offer.

:)
