couldn't find vob unit?

I just upgraded to ifoedit .95 . Using bbMpeg I created a vob file from an uncompressed avi, this file will play fine in a software DVD player. But I went to create the ifo files for it and I get the error 'Could not find VOB unit in vob file'. What's a vob unit and how do I get around this problem?

A VOB unit or VOBU is one or more MPEG Group of Pictures (GOP). A VOBU can be between 0.4 and 1.2 seconds long.

I suggest you demux the elementary streams, mpeg and audio, and input into a DVD authoring program. If no subtitles and one audio, you can use Spruceup.

I have heard of SpruceUp, but never used it. Is this a free or retail program, and where can I get it. I have absolutely no budget right now so I am limited to free stuff.

For the project I am working on right now, I have a single uncompressed avi that I would like to convert into a miniDVD. Currently the file doesn't even have audio. bbMpeg is the only program that I have found that will convert the avi into a vob. I am doing this more as a test than anything else.

Spruceup needs a m2v and ac3. I can't confirm if it excepts wav but I always use ac3. Well anyway, go to this link. Check out DVD-R section and you'll find a Spruceup guide. It'll tell you about how to get Spruceup in the first paragraph.
