No valid DVD-Video volume could be located

Using ifoedit I get the following warning on my project:

*No valid DVD-Video volume could be located
Do you still want to continue?

If I select yes it plays fine

What does this warning mean and how do I fix the problem. When I burn the DVD only the a05 drive will recognize it, so there must be something wrong.

It means you don't have an actual DVD in the DVD Player. Nothing to worry about.

so if the dvd file plays w/ the ifoedit player AND windvd, is there any reason it should not play on a standalone player? The only other thing I havent tried is creating the iso image with ifoedit (and Im using dvd-rw)

That's correct. Next time if you want to prove it, leave a DVD, any DVD in the player, and use IFOEDIT and you will see that it you won't get the message. It does not stop it from being played in a standalone player. It's more informational than anything else.

No, I was saying that the file DOES play fine with both ifoedit (besides the above mentioned warning) and windvd. However, when I burned the dvd it wont play in my xbox, sony stand alone, or even my other dvd-rom drive (thought the burnt dvd-rw plays fine in the a05 drive)

What else could be wrong? Is it just the media?

I think you posted this in a earlier post. I believe it was Lilo and Stich. Did you try my cheat sheet for disk 1? Did you even try to burn it to a DVD-R?

NO, still dont have any DVD-Rs yet since I just got the burner and only have the one disk that came with it. The cheapest in stores around here is $8, ouch, so I have to order (and still havent found a great deal yet).

I have not tried your advice on disk one yet as I was trying to trouble shoot what I did. I think it should work but why even my sony, which specifically states it reads dvd-rw, wont read my disk I dont know.
