Is there a way to encode vobfiles without the ifofile?
i accedently deleted the ifo-file,but i have the vobs.
I have already returned the disc so i can not rip it again.
Is it just to delete the vobs too, and forget alla about it?
I do feel a little stupit right now!

If you use vobsub for subs ifo is needed, for encoding to Divx it's not. Gknot/Avs/vdub/Xmpeg or whatever is your method only vobs are needed. So no panic:)

Having JUST gone through learning the rudiments of IfoEdit, use it to recreate IFOs from Vobs. Failing that, any valid .ifo file will be good enough; you can then select the vobs. See http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?s=&threadid=39824 which is a somewhat unrelated thread, but it does answer your question.

Yes i guess it does, but i guess it will be difficult to find the correct audio in my prefered language.
This movie is for the kids so i need it to be in swedish.
