Looked for posts about Xvid noice reduction. Didn't find anything usefull.
Does Xvid have some kind of built in universal noice reduction algoritm?
Or do people use something else?

I haven't been on the ripping scene for a while (6 month or so), and my last rip was in Dx5.
Anyway, I wanted to try out xvid, so i grabbed koepi's latest build.
Im going to rip K-PAX, which contains a bit of noise.
I've ripped some anime in the past which "Smart Smoother [HQ]" was excellent for. Its terribly slow, and not very good on anything else than anime.

So.. should i use the old noise reduction plugins that came with good ol' gnot, or is there something better now?

Btw. is quick2pass reliable in calculating the compressibility?
Noticed that gnot can load the xvid .stats file as well.

Thanks for your time.

I love SansGrip's 'NoMoSmooth'. And check out his 'FluxSmooth', also. :)

I've just finished a new temporal smoother that tries to avoid motion related artifacts. Give it a try :)
