View Full Version : Multi-PGC Frames difference

Still on my first attempt with a seriously multi-pgc disk, Band of Brothers Extras disk 6.

I found when I used IFOUPdate to give me the chapters I needed, it had the final chapter at 80542 frames (in the maestro-cce-film file), but when I used dvd2avi and imported that into cce with "Forced Film", the file was only 80409 frames long! What happened to the other frames?

In this particular file, each chapter is succeeded by a 15 frame blank chapter for post-commands, so I suspect the error lies somewhere in there, but this problem is causing ALL of my chapters to start progressively later, as the chapter points from the ifoupdate generated file don't match the ACTUAL beginnings of the chapters. It is also causing the audio progressively increasing to be out of synch...

Jdobbs, any clues here? Just wondering if I am implementing it wrong, or is it just time for me to break down and start using Scenarist instead of Maestro?

PS... Did this title using the REMpeg method since I couldn't figure out the CCE / Mastro thing, and it worked fine, though the quality is poor, as expected....

You might want to check your drop-frame setting.

I used pulldown to create a drop-frame and a non-drop frame, like for a subtitle import version (though there are no actual subtitles in these) and the length is STILL short. The shortness (lack of frames) shows up when I open my avs file in CCE, before I even start reencoding. That is why I am perplexed!
