Hi,
I have converted many DVD's successfully with DVD2SVCD and I'm very satisfied with this Tool. Since some time I have Hardware for digital recording (DVB). When the new feature 'Frame-Selection' was announced, I was very happy to create SVCD's from my recorded DVB files and be able to remove the annoying commercials by selecting only the useful frames. But,.... huh.... I selected 4 frame ranges (each about 15 Minutes) and I got 4 SVCD's with 15 Minutes of the Movie. Well, if I only want to strip off the credentials at the end or some minutes from the beginning, I can successfully use the MPEG Merge&Cut Tools from TMPGEnc (which I have used before).
Is there really no other purpose for frame-selection than selecting one range which will be converted as usual? No chance that several ranges will be analyzed and converted as one ??

You may want to learn using VCDEasy, it will do the job you are left with.

Yes, you probably right, I tried this before.
The problem is, when I select 4 Frame-Ranges of about 15 Minutes in DVD2SVCD, they all get encoded with the optimal Bitrate and will not fit on one CD. If I could combine them to get analyzed as one, the birates have to be calculated differently.
I think I have to start working with more tools more individually until someone decides to allow joining of frame-selections in DVD2SVCD.
Nevertheless thanks for you info.

Just set the CD size to 200MB for one CD. This will give you 4 mpgs each 200 MB large. That should do it.

Or use the same method for combining 2 sides/discs that you will find in the Q+A and just modify it for your purpose.
