which is the best of dv codec (or which one I should use)?

Hi, I am little bit confused with so many dv codecs around like MS dv codec (in qcap.dll), MainConcept dv codec (mcdvd_32.dll), canopus dv codec, adaptec dv codec....
Can anybody tell me what's difference of these codec and which one is the best one?
