Best inexpensive media for A05

I finally got a burner, now I need some media. I have read through many of the threads trying to find the best with no clear answer. It seems some of the older media doesnt work in the new 4x burners. So what is the best, least expensive media for an A05 (at least 2x)?

I have tried the following, the prices are in EUR:

Fuji - 4.99: works fine at 2x
TDK - 2.99: works fine at 2x
Intenso - 2.49: I bought just one and it would not work at 1x, the process failed after about 20%.

My experiences with RW:

Pioneer: works with 2x and has no problems
Verbatim: works only with 1x but has no problems either
Intenso: works only with 1x and even that fails sometimes, the result will not work well on my Pioneer 343, a friends older Pioneer and a Yamakawa 780 even if the burner did not abort.
