First point this is my first attempt at following the Maestro guide, I havn't authored with it before so plz be gentle.

I'm using dvd maestro 2.9 and ChapterXtractor_v0.962, I am having issues importing this chapter list:

$Spruce_IFrame_List

00:00:00:00
00:01:49:19
00:08:58:07
00:12:56:23
00:19:11:24
00:24:09:07
00:37:51:07
00:40:39:17
00:43:25:23
00:45:26:01
00:53:58:15
00:56:06:05
01:01:42:13
01:04:31:20
01:07:05:10
01:16:25:23
01:22:35:23
01:23:53:22
01:25:11:11
01:27:45:17
01:31:21:11
01:34:25:15
01:39:15:18
01:43:00:23

The movie is Entrapment and When I import this list Maestro creates 12 chapters instead of 24 and the times represent the last 12 chapters but created from 00:00:00:00 without the 01 on the beginning eg:

00:01:42:13
00:04:31:20
00:07:05:10
00:16:25:23
00:22:35:23
00:23:53:22
00:25:11:11
00:27:45:17
00:31:21:11
00:34:25:15
00:39:15:18
00:43:00:23
(slightly different to this as they jump to the next GOP.

I have noticed that my video asset has a file offset of 01:00:00:00 I tried resetting this by doubleclicking the wall clock and resetting the 'SMPTE time offset' to 00:00:00:00 and reimporting the chapter list but it doesn't help.

I have watched the compiled dvd from the hard disk an sound and video seem to be in sync and everything is there but I have the crap chapters.

Can anyone advise me as to what I have done wrong to end up with this time offset on the video.

The mpv and ac3 assets were created using DVD2SVCD with CCE as the encoder.

Cheers

Latest:

I have suceeded in getting 23 chapters by adding an hour to all of the times in the chp file.

Does anyone know why an PAL .mpv file created by DVD2SVCD would have a file timeofset of 01:00:00:00 ?

Thanks

Hi,

Follow my instructions in this post -

http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?s=&threadid=35705

It works for me on PAL movies.

Cheers

Thx Fletch, I thought it must have come up before I just failed to find it.

Basically we have to live with the fact that the offset gets added to the mpv by CCE and do the work around that you suggested.
