DVD Authoring with IfoEdit

I successfully used the Doom9 guide to reauthor the movie Notting Hill using CCE encoding. However I have following question:

The Doom9 CCE encoding guide uses ChapterXtractor to extract the chapters and then adds those to the .ecl file. Is this step really necessary as during the authoring phase with IfoEdit the chapters are added from the celltimes.txt file.

you'll get an I-frame at the exact chapter position.
usefull for fast skipping.

I tried out using celltimes i.s.o chapterxtractor, using ifoedit to insert the chapter points from the celltimes.txt file (in the dvdauthor - author new dvd dialog box).

Everything seems to be OK, including the skip facility.

To me it seems a simpler method than using chapterxtractor and then copying and pasting into the ecl file.
