This sounds similar to a problem I'd been having with the Sony DRU500A. Apparently it's caused by one of the later releases of Nero.

Have a look at this article (http://www.vcdhelp.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=123595) on VCDhelp.

Hope it helps!

Scott.

I have been having the same problem w/ NERO. So I stopped using the wizard. also I started making an img file which seems to work a lot better. Hope that will help..

i have a DRU-500A and i use nero 5.5.9.17 (i think it's the latest version) and it works fine with me. One of the error messages is when your're triyng to make a simulation of the copy, right???
what happens when you try to burn without simulation???
you can always do like i do. everytime i use a new method i use an +RW that way if it doesn't work, you will only need to way 25 minutes no know the answer... :D

oh.. and you won't destroy a DVD-R !!
