DVD play: problem with subtitle colors

In someway, I managed to completly ruine DVD subtitles color. To be precise, I'm talking about subtitles color on DVDs, when playing from PowerDVD or smth (not DivX subtitles).

Now, I have bright green subtitles, with bright blue outline on them. Completly unreadable.

I was experimenting a lot with DivX authoring, VobSub and similar stuff. Maybe some of this is the cause of the problem...

Does anyone know how I can get normal subtitle colors back?

I tried nvDVD, and problem remains. It's not about the DVD, I tried with at least 10 different ones.

the only way i can imagine is to uninstall all dvd related software like players ripper but also codecs and then reinstall all of it... it's probably possible to do it elsewhere but i've no idea where to do that!

You have managed to clear the color lookup table in the ifo file. IFOUpdate and later IfoEdit can fix this, check the DVD Authoring or IfoEdit forum.

Maybe I'm wrong, but IFOEdit changes .ifo files. My problem is with every DVD disc I have. I cannot edit .ifo files, they are on the DVD disc. This is not the problem with DVD authoring (or I would post the question there).

I just want to play the DVDs through PowerDVD. There must some registry setting or smth that I changed that tells to every DVD player to display subtitles in wierd colors.

If I didn't understand you correct, than pls guide me what to do.
