I just got my new 27" Sony WEGA and have a slight problem with it that might be simply corrected with a playback option. the horizontal curves inward a bit (top and bottom, slightly noticeable), but is really only annoying while watching widescreen videos (not obvious for normal TV). i was wondering if there is a playback filter that can distort the video so the I can straighten out the curve (ffdshow doesn't offer a distortion feature like this, only can move the corners)?
this is a common problem with the WEGAs from what I've read, and is not fixable via the service menu. i would rather not haul TVs back and forth until I find one that is perfectly straight, so I thought this might be a good solution.
