Building in original Menu? Editing Chapterpoints with IfoEdit or other Tool ?

hey folks,

i used the serach function but didnt find any fitting topic for my problem .
i made a backup of my star wars episode 2 dvd (pal)... i recompressed the video so i had enough space for the menu ... now i have some problems integrating the menu. the chapter ponts are not the same as before ... how can i edit the chapterpoints in the IFO so they will be correct when using the menus scene selection ? (i have all new chapterpoints in a TXT file from the ripping program)...

also the movie wont run when i click on play movie, it will just run when i select a scene.

and my last problem:

the sound will always be english and non changeable ... i

does anyone have experiences building in an original menu file ?

i think you'll find that your video and audio will be out of sync too, esp if you are trying to use ifoedit to remux the m2v back into the vobs.

i already remuxed the video i have the files vts_01_x.vob on my hd... it works all fine with the movie...no sync problems.
i can switch between english/german ... subtitles, too

i just additionally want the original menu from the original dvd ...

the menu is named vts_01_0.vob ... itself was orignally pointing to the vob files vts_05_x.vob ... these have been reduced by one file due to compression

when i look up the menu ifo (video_ts.ifo) i see that the chapter points are different to my new ifo (also video_ts.ifo)

i now want to change these chapter points ... chapter one starts off at 543 frames in the old video and at 555 in the new video) chapter 2 starts in the old video at 2624 frames and in the new video at 4715...and so on ...

i just wanna change those framepostion in the ifo file... how can i do that ?

and the other problems are:

i can start the original menu (from the dvd..not recompressed)in HD playback mode with power dvd xp , can't start the movie directly from the beginning ("start movie") but when choosing a chapter i can watch the movie ... then only in english and i cant switch to the other language and cannot enable subtitles...
