I would like to know:

What Software to use with my Memorex DVD Burner.
What Standard to burn at eg. ISO Mode1

I ask these questions, as when playing discs on my Samsung Stand Alone DVD player they work. But with many of the "compatable" players they don't. Example being the Playstation 2.

Any information would be Good, I currently burn with:

Nero in mode 1 ISO. DVD Authored using Spruce Up and then IFO Edit to change aspect ratio to 16:9 Automatic Letterbox when needed.

Most of my DVD's I do not re-encode the video as I just Author with the main soundtrack.

Do you create an image file, and burn that or are you just writing the VIDEO_TS folder direct to disc?

I am burning the directory straight to disk.

If you only burn the VIDEO_TS dir to media (in ISO mode) you don't get a DVD Video. DVD Video has an UDF-ISO-Bridge file system. The files in the VIDEO_TS folder must have the right order to properly play on a standalone.

Since you use Nero, you can try my ImgTool to burn your DVD root to DVD media.

Greets, CouJo!
