go to google and do a search for c++ alot of information out there, also the one of the best things for info on c++ is the msdn which can be found also by searching.

What stays is the question how to search for "C++" in the forum (I was not detailed enough) - it seems that the "++" are omitted.

Well, we're gonna rebuild the searchindex for the forum any day now. (Since for example the word 'quote' has got +16,000 entries due to the way vBulletin works).
But I'm quite sure that '++'-endings is not considered and since this is all about video-compressions, well, I'll look into it.

just an addition that might be of help: i use DevC++ for PC based coding, and CodeWarrior for when im on my mac, if you need any good compilers
