Change aspect ratio of an existing avi

Is it possible to change the (wrong) aspect ratio of an existing avi without or little loss of quality? If so, how?

Use zoomplayer when viewing the file. It can change aspectratio on the fly. There are other players capable of this, but personally I like Zoomplayer.

I'm a BSPlayer fan. You can set the aspect ratio to 4:3, 16:9, or the file's aspect ratio (square pixels).

Change your playback filter!!
Use ffdshow, it's great!
