Getting Really pissed off

I really need help on this one...
i've striped a dvd using ifoedit, tested files in HDD and it works...
tried to record VIDEO_TS using record now, and it gives me an "there has been an error" message. if i try with nero it won't finish burning the disc.
So i know i need to create an image first, and record with nero afterwards.
i've tried to do an image of SHOWTIME using imgtools 0.89 and succeeded, then burnt with nero and got a working DVD.
now i'm trying to make an image with the same imgtools 0.89 and i get an error message. c++ runtime error and can't create the image. if i use imgtools 0.99.3 and it failed (didn't have realocate selected). after that i also tried to burn directly with imgtools but this time with realocate selected. same shit... it works on the pc but not on the standalone.
And yes i've done "get VTS Sectors" in ifoedit.
Is there any other good (read simple, no make it very simple) image creator programs????

I'm not real sure eactly what your problem is, but this is some experience that I've encountered first hand. When I've had multiple burning applications installed, it seems that the chance for some sort of error/crash was oftern more likely. Actually, after wiping everything off from hard drive and starting from scratch (ie getting rid of all of the crap that had built up over time in the system directory), I decided to test some different burning software to see which was better. Hands down Prassi has turned out to be the best. My burns now work in all of my dvd players (whereas 1 would always work in my sharp player, but alot of times wouldn't work in my toshiba or samsung players), as well as my friends players, and I very rarely get the problem with disks skipping or freezing up(even the cheapest of cheap media!).

Just my 2 cents, but I think overloading your system with multiple burning apps (or even possibly some other software?) is the simple cause of many of these problems.

The C++ runtime error is a hint to the wrong direction. The problem is that you try to create an image larger than 4GB on a FAT32 partition. FAT32 has a file size limitation of 4GB. Use a NTFS partition and it will work.

What kind of error you get with ImgTool 0.99.3? If you create an Image with the Image Recorder, the problem is the same. But why can't you burn directly?

i'm gonna convert all my drives to NTFS.

as for 0.99.3 ... doh!!!! same shit.
now i get it thats why i got 2 (read TWO) image files. Example:
shit.nrg and shit.nrg.001 (or something like that.)
as for the direct burn.... i CAN burn but the Disc cannot be played on the standalone (LG 4010). but works on DVD-rom (pioneer 116)
this last DVD i burnt using nero to burn the VIDEO_TS folder directly to the DVD at it worked.
You see the only reason why i didn't think of the fat32 problem is because when i created an image of showtime, the file was smaller than 4GB.

Hey i've had trouble too but finally figured it out. I have done this on Spiderman, Remember the Titans and Goldmember.

I ripped these files from the DVD to my Hard drive. This is movie only to DVDR.

VIDEO_TS.ifo/bup/vob
VTS_01_0.ifo/bup/vob
Movie Files (VTS_0x_1 - VTS_0x_x.vob)

-After ripping i open ifoedit and open VTS_0x_1.ifo
-click vob extras, strip out the extra audio/subtitle, click OK
-select the needed vobIDs, click OK
-it will strip the VTS files down to your new folder.
-Your new folder should contain:
-VIDEO_TS.ifo/bup
-VTS_01_0.ifo/bup
-Movie Files(VTS_0x_1 - VTS_0x_x.vob)
-Noticed the missing VIDEO_TS.vob and VTS_01_0.vob files, thats OK.
-OPen VIDEO_TS file in ifoedit and Get Sectors. Save it.
-PLay it to make sure. then Burn using Nero(DVD-rom, udf mode)

*Also you will get an error message if you play the movie after ripping the first time. Illegal nav. error.
