This release includes bug fixes and minor features updates.

JovePlayer is a multimedia player that is capable of playing various formats of encoded video and audio clips. Unlike other software multimedia players in the market, using a hardware REALmagic® XCard decoder card from SigmaDesigns, JovePlayer provides extremely
high quality decoding and TV/HDTV signal encoding abilities with minimal CPU consumption. It presents all JovePlayer's user interface with on-screen display (OSD) on TV through XCard. This, in addition to integrating the remote controller functions, allows you to totally submerge in a TV centric entertainment experience, and not to worry about the use of a PC while playing the multimedia clips. Through this OSD interface, user can perform media collection search, file playback, VCD/SVCD/DVD playback, Karaoke, and make other audio/video adjustment.

Release 1.2 Notes:

1. Save empty playlist to disk when it's cleared from menu, so the list doesn't get loaded on restart.
2. Scripting error on Win98 with IE5.5 is fixed.
3. AVI file with AC3 soundtrack has no sound bug is fixed.
4. Failing to set position in large AVI file bug is fixed.
5. Removing artist column now reuses the space for media title.
6. Errant "title must not be blank" message in MediaManager is fixed.
7. S/PDIF and analog audio output selection is added to OSD menu.
8. You can now use "8" and "0" remote keys page up and down.
9. OSD pages now can remember the last page and focus, and restore them on navigating back.
10. Added language options for German and Dutch with translated OSD strings.
11. "Back" when navigating in a file system now moves back to the upper directory, not the drive list.
12. Fixed search bug when there is "&" in artist name.
13. MediaManager dialog size is reduced to fit 800x600 screen.
14. VGA/TV toggle is enabled through remote.
15. 15 days trial period is enforced, SWREG and Kagi are used as payment agents, in addition to PayPal.

Well, there are few people ( http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?threadid=39522) who are allowed to do free advertising ... Oh, sorry - you obviously overlooked this post ;)

Does it really matter? Spam is spam (at least according to these rules)

matters to me. i would never buy anything i have seen in spam, in e mail or on free forum. im wondering if this guy has donated anything to doom9. where is doom9s cut of the sales they may get from this free forum? someones paying for this forum and im almost sure its not joveplayer.

if someone has some FREE software that i may want to try out that gos along with this subject of this forum, im more then happy to hear about it.

i think the one thing that defines spam to me is, using a free service to sell something to make money. if your not selling something then its not considered spam, or atleast i dont think it is.

@DAvenger

If I looked at your HB...and what did I see...
RadLight™ 3.03 Special Edition comes in two variants - as a FREE ad supported version (helpware) or as a regular, ad free version for US $20.

I think there's a big difference(US$ 20.--) between yours and Blight's philosophy.
Zoomplayer is a total FREE software with NO adaware and I can't really see any attention of Blight for making money at the moment.

In my opinion your comparison is not really fair and Blight's posts aren't spam for me!

Not to mention I've asked discussed my postings with doom9 first...

DAvanger just has it in for me, he feels I'm taking marketshare from his commercial product and doesn't seem to have any quims about trying to badmouth me at every chance.

I used to respect you Yaron, not only for the tremendous effort you put into your little software, your great work but also for your personality. You used to be a nice guy and my friend.

What happened to you? I really cannot understand what changed you so much ... :(

Since this thread is waaay off topic I'll just close it.

On a short notice, DAvenger, next time I'll get a 'whitty' response as 'Oh, sorry - you obviously overlooked this post :)' I'll just close it without notice.
