one of the things i have been trying to do to avoid having to conver my audio is find a program that will accept a mp2 ( mpa ) ... maestro does not seem to complaine about it .. but it does give
2 Warnings :
- Movie Movie1 : At least 1 Audio Track must be PCM or AC-3 Format.
- Movie Movie2 : At least 1 Audio Track must be PCM or AC-3 Format.

so my question is .. will this play in a DVD player? i dont want to waste a $4 dvd to test it .. but if i must then i will. ( and hoppefully it wont be a waste )

MPEG audio is not part of the DVD spec. Only AC3 and DTS. At least, in as much as the NTSC world goes. I've never seen a player that supports MPEG audio (aside from the obvious MP3 reading).

use besweet, it can convert between many different formats including mp2 to ac3 (use with besweetGUI to make it easier).
