Hi,
everytime I try to start a conversion, DVD2SVCD stops at :

WNASPI32.DLL 4.6.0.1021
--------------------------------------------------------
- 05.12.2002 06:48:19
- DVD to SVCD Conversion
- DVD2SVCD ver. 1.1.0 build 1b
--------------------------------------------------------
Initializing
Initializing finished.

--------------------------------------------------------
- 05.12.2002 06:48:23
- DVD2AVI
--------------------------------------------------------
Creating DVD2AVI INI file:
- D:\Programme\DVD-Utilities\DVD2SVCD\DVD2AVI\DVD2AVI.INI

Variable settings:
iDCT_Algorithm: 32-bit SSE MMX

Executing DVD2AVI.
Executing DVD2AVI. Commandline:
"D:\Programme\DVD-Utilities\DVD2SVCD\DVD2AVI\DVD2AVI.exe" -CS=2 -YR=1 -EXIT -OF=[D:\Programme\DVD-Utilities\DVD2SVCD\Movie\DVD2AVI_Project_file] -IF=[D:\Save\vts_01_1.vob]

Then it tries to analyse the file. Can anybody help me? DVD2AVI does not start and I didn`t changed anything from the original install. The thing is, that it had function before and I created a .bin file. But now it stops there...

Time to upgrade that build of DVD2SVCD. A new version is out.

Sounds like the Vob files maybe damaged. Play them in WinDVD or PowerDVD off the HD.

What did you use to rip the DVD originally?

used smartripper

both pwerdvd and windvd can play them

I`ve already made a svcd with this version, but suddenly it doesn`t fuction, I`ll give b1c a try

You shouldn't be using SmartRipper. You should only use the two included rippers. Until you retry with one of the two included rippers no support will be given.

SmartRipper shouldn't cause this issue though. Did you happen to rip it to one file? You shouldn't. Leave it as each Vob or at the very least at 1gb each.

left the vobs as they were, and also used demacrovision, so no copyprotection is there. I also think, it`s not so important right? used also many other progs and codecs with no problems (e.g. xvid)
I also hab no vobs which are greater than 1 gb, only small ones with 1 min and around 150 mb.

:o
I think this is a bug of the commandline of dvd2avi, it doesn`t create files. the last line in the log of dvd2svcd was "analizing the project file".

will try to rerip them, but I`m of the opinion that this isn`t the bug.
