Authoring chapter with IfoEdit

Hi there,

as I only have Windows 98 SE, I didn't find any working authoring tool. Most need NT/2k, others still don't work. So I tried to use the authoring mode in IfoEdit. I put the m2v and two ac3-files into IfoEdit, but when I wanted to import the chapters, IE crashes. There is no way to manually enter the chapters, and when I import a txt-file, it seems I have the wrong format.
I found a screenshots in a guide saying something like

1234
4567
7899
so it seems IE only wants to have the frames. I created a txt just like this but still IE crashes.
I use Chapter Xtractor, can anybody give me the correct format for the chapters? Btw, I use v0.95

JUST A GUESS BUT TAKE OUT THE ZERO AND TRY IT AGAIN

SpruceUp works in win98 SE but it doesn't support subtitles. You can also make menus. I use this as my last resort when I have only the the main movie with only one audio stream can fit on a dvdr.

Thanks, I just found out that IfoEdit can write the celltimes be itself, these can be imported in Authoring mode. I will try Spruce, maybe it works better. Does it support AC3 and DTS and more than one audio stream?

Spruceup does AC3 but not DTS. I burn it as a titleset to a designated folder so that I can view and edit it in ifoedit. If every is okay, I drop all the files into the video folder in Nero and burn. Spruceup always produces 4:3 ratio so if your movie was 16:9, you need to make that change. Compare your original movie ifo and ts_video.ifo with your Spruceup ifos and make the changes. There is a formal and informal guide for you but I don't know where it is at this moment. It's easy to search for.

One thing I notice about Spruceup is that new movie is smaller in windows explorer after the authoring than what it states in Spruceup before.

Oh, I forgot to say...it doesn't support multiple audio either. But it does multiple titles.
