I have a image that is about 645 x 446 inside a 720 x 640 image with a white boarder. Now i import the STILL image into scenarist with the Subpicture and everything lines up perfectly.

Now i import that image into premiere and add audio to it and export it as a m2v file.... then i import that file into scenarist and add the subpicture to it and the subpicture is not lined up. i compare the movie to the still of the same image and the movie has grown about 5 pixel higher and at least 10 pixels longer with the majority of the image being stretched to the left and down (So the 645x446 image is being stretched to roughly 650x456) .

I dont understand why this is happening. I am useing the same still image and same subpicture just i made a video out of it in premiere. Anyone know why this is??

did you keep the aspect ratio the same in Premiere? it will change the AR of an image w/o even telling you, so I'd check that.

Both Aspect Ratios are at 16:9 and the bitrats are the same.

interesting. just to clarify, i meant the Pixel Aspect Ratio for the image, not output AR of the video. it doesn't make any sense for these not to line up if the settings are the same, so something must be slightly tweaked. good luck, sorry i can't be of any help.

Read this:Premiere Faq (http://www.jeremymoore.com/AdobePremiere/FAQ/#Anchor-2.3)

That FAQ is incorrect, out-of-date and generally incomplete. Useless, if you ask me.

A truly misguided effort that at some point apparently was aborted. It is sad that this sort of thing is still floating around on the net, confusing the heck out of people.

I can not vouch for incorrect (only glanced over it) but seems up to date to me. Has In version 6.5 of Premiere all over the guide.

Right click your picture when importing into Premiere and select "Keep Aspect Ratio" and you will see borders are added and the image is kept in the right aspect ratio. You then can change the border colour if you like.

What is the w&h of your exported M2V? I can see a problem if you video is at 720x480 and you wanted 720x640.

I do not use Scenarist, but that doesn't sound right.
