I am running into an issue here.... I capture DV to my hard drive. I then use DVD2SVCD to encode it to MPEG-2(SVCD).

Now when I look at the finished MPEG thru my TV out to the TV from the PC. The finished mpeg looks awesome, and not much from the actuall DV capture...

Here's the trouble, I then burn the IFO file from DVD2SVCD using NERO and everything goes ok. But when I play them in my standalone DVD player it looks like a totally screwed up "VCD" and not an svcd at all..

NOW again, mind you that I have been using DVD2SVCD to rip several DVD's and all play fine on this player and look awesome? Could there be something I am not setting right when I change DVD2SVCD from DVD to AVI in the conversion section? Or could it be nero? Its gotta be nero as the finished product looks ok before its burned to disk?

Can anyone offer some assistance? I am going crazy here....

Thanks

Sorry to waste everyones time. I found that its the Stand alone player!! Its a Phillips DVD751 model. I played it thru the TV out on my pc , the finished SVCD burnt with NERO and it looked fine from my CD-ROM drive.... So its the phillips.... BUT again, it makes no sense as I changed NO settings on the DVD2SVCD and it plays all the dvd rips I make so far with NO issues at all. Makes NO sense to me...

OH well, at least the final product isn't bad after all. I just have to TV out it, thats all...

Thanks
