Im running low on discs af need to buy some new dvd-r's.
I have been using Princo 1x from some place in germany, but now i wan't to buy 2x discs. The princo's have worked flawlessly in evry player i have tested it on.
I have a Pioneer A04 burner.
Since i live in Denmark, and the shipping charges from Germany and UK are big, i need to buy 100 or 200 discs.
So from where do i buy cheap 2x dvd-r, that will work on standalone players.
I have been recomended the Datawrite classic Gen3 2x media from http://www.bigpockets.co.uk/product.php?id=178 but don't know if they are OK.

If your player even works with Princo, then it will probably play whatever crap media you insert :D
www.snogard.de usually offers Verbatim 2x for less than 3 Euro each
Yeah Right

You don't have much possibilities to find anything between Princo and Verbatim in Germany...and after looking into C'T DVD±R media test, the only DVD-R which are good are Pioneer, Verbatim, Maxell, Matsushita and TDK anyway :sly:

I have been looking a lot of places in the UK, but almost evrywhere the quotes on the discs are "One of the Best" and "Superb quality". Offcource they can't all be one of the best, the problem is witch one is right.
Is it a sign of some kind og quality when the discs works in a PS2???

No.
But it's a sign of quality if an LG 16x DVD-ROM can read a disc

Ritek can be written at 2x without POFs (totally unreadable sectors) in most cases, but the error rate is still 5x-20x higher than at 1x. So this media should not be considered 2x compatible.
If you want to order from Germany, then forget about 2x media much cheaper than 3 Euro.
Yeah Right

Well, UK and other countrys with reasonable shipping charges are fine. So since you seem to know a lot about media, do you know any other place to get some 2X between 1-2 Euros.

I have been looking at bigpockets (http://www.bigpockets.co.uk) they have choice 2x as this weeks special, and also have some datasafe /datawrite 2x at a good price.
Is any of those discs worth anything?? Right now im using Princo 1x media, and all 100 have worked without any trouble.
So im just looking for some 2x media, that are going to work just as good as my Princo media.

Ritek G3's (ALL4Mats) work on Playstation and 16x LG DVD Drives and Dell Latitude DVD Drives, work at 2x with DVD Decrypter and 1x ONLY with Nero 5.9.9.17 on a Sony DRU500A. They'll work at 2x on Nero with the new firware for the Sony Drive. Nice disks, I ordered 10, got 10 perfect disks, so I ordered 50 more.
Datasafe and Datawrite also work at 2x from www.valuemedia.co.uk, but don't try bulkpaq or mirror (vivistar (unbranded shyte).
