Hello,

I am trying to convert a DivX encoded file with MP3 Audio to a SVCD with the latest version of DVD2SVCD.

However, whenever BeSweet runs, it gives me the error message "
Not scaled properly", below is the exact message. BeSweet then doen't continue, I can only quit it manually.

Please help, I haven't found any solution to this...

Regards,

Jackie

1. :logfile: (http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?s=&threadid=15738)
2. try decoding to wave and see what happens.
3. you might also wanna try using beta8 (http://besweet.notrace.dk/beta.html).

Got the same problem with 1.5b1 on Starwars II and fixed with 1.5b8.
So just overwrite the folder BeSweet in D2S with the 1.5 beta 8

Hope this does the trick for you too.

makes me suspect that the divx's mp3 is monorual.

@Fastolfe: thank you, it works with the latest beta :)

@DSPGuru: you are right, the mp3 are mono indeed.

Thank you all for your kind help :)

@Jackie
great ! that approves my claim for 'support for mono MPx inputs' in beta8 :D.

Hi DSPGuru,

sorry, I have detected some more problems with the encoded audio. Technically, everythnig works fine, i.e. the whole process runs without errors, but the resulting mp2 file (as well as the muxed mpeg in the end) sound horrible, a lot of crackle and echos in it. You can still recognize the source audio (i.e. understand the voices), but it simply sounds horrible.

Do you have any idea what else I could try? I have included besweets log file, tell me if you need more information.

Thank you.

Regards,

Jackie

Hmm, you convert mono to stereo, may be this is wrong?

@Jackie
here's my advised commandline to your case :

D:\DVD\DVD2SVCD\BeSweet\BeSweet.exe -core( -input I:\SW2\Extracted_audio_1.mpa -output I:\SW2\Encoded_audio_1.mp2 -logfile I:\SW2\Encoded_audio_1.log ) -ota( -g 0.686dB ) -2lame( -e -b 192 -m j )
