maestro help needed

what is the best way to get round inconsistant bitrates in ac3 file in maestro
tried repairing with ac3 machine maestro then accepts it but when authored it only plays a few frames of the film
any help apreciated

What do you mean by "inconsistent bitrates"? The AC3 files are usually either 192kbps, 384kbps, or 448kbps IME. You aren't trying to cut and paste AC3 files with different bitrates together are you? That won't work.
