I have just made .m2v file of Star Wars AOTC using CCE method which is about 3.2Gb

My problem is I cannot get it to work with rest of DVD contents

there are 7 original VTS_01_x.VOB files from 0 to 6 on DVD

VTS_01_0.VOB is the menu file and the others 1 to 6 the movie

I have tried using IfoEdit by opening VTS_01_0.IFO and then clicking VOB extras and ticking remux the .m2v file with the stripped audio but it didn't work

It worked OK when I played it back, until around the 2nd minute and thats when the video started to stutter

I also used another method using Author New DVD in IfoEdit and created the new VTS_01_1.VOB,VTS_01_2.VOB, VTS_01_3.VOB,VTS_01_4.VOB files and they work great if I play them with PowerDVD

But how do I get these working VOB's to replace the original ones and retain chapter selection? so I can play DVD exactly like original as when I play back the movie it has all the menus at the end of the movie?

Cheers

I dont think you can use Ifoedit to remux the audio stream when you have re-encoded the video stream with CCE. Its best to rempeg to re encode if you want to use ifoedit (Rempeg is slow and delivers poor quality) so the best option is to re-author the m2v stream with Maestro or Scentarist.

Can someone verify that i am correct?

Yes I authored the m2v file with maestro which will give you the new movie vobs then you need to (if necassary) rename the maestro created vobs to match the names of the original vobs. You then delete the orig vobs and copy over the newly authored vobs and run updateifo which will fix the movie files and then run correct vts sectors so you can play the dvd in a player. Hope this helps.
