Hi
i've been reading into the audio side of ripping. i'm wondering whats the best way to rip the audio to mp3. i've used the dvd2avi method with besweet and comes out great. but i just noticed you can rip the audio from the vob as well on besweet.
is this the best option ? i want to try streamline the process as much as poss. are there bugs ? what about vob2audio ? is there life after death ?

I could never use the VOBinput plugin .dll file with BeSweet, it would never work.
I prefer to let the .ac3 file get ripped with DVD2AVI, and transcode that with BeSweet later.

I had been using the dvd2avi method, but the last 5 or so dvd's I did, I used the besweet method, ripping the audio directly from the vobs. I have been pleased with it.
I have to create a voblist for each movie since I use a batch file, rather than a drag and drop method for the batch processing on the gui to create the wav-mp3's (I do about 4 movies at a time). I use the same parameters into besweet, except for the track that I want, the input file and the output file.
But this way, I have besweet handle all the audio transcoding, and the other programs for the video. But I don't believe there is a big difference between them. You might save a coulple of hundred meg from your drive if you are like me and forget to delete the ac3 file until after the entire movie has been completed :D
Just my .02 worth
PS: Might also want to check out (at the bottom)
