OK, 1st - I *did* emply rule number 1. I went so far as to just search under "framerate" and looked at ALL 35 PAGES. and found nothing to answer this question. I'm sure it's right under my nose...
Anyhow, I have been playing with the later CCEs (post 2.5) and the 3:2 pulldown/progressive settings and wanted to see what the ACTUAL frame rate of the .m2v produced by CCE is - i.e. is it 23.975 with pulldown enabled by CCE to make it 29.97 or is it a "true" (i.e. interlaced) 29.97, or is it the old 23.975 produced by CCE 2.5.
I used to be able to check by running the .m2v in ZoomPlayer and going to Dialogs->Playing Information. But for some reason, it now always shows 1.000 as the frame rate. It *used* to show the actual (usually 23.975) and playing (29.97, after I had run it through Pulldown.exe). I even tried older ZoomPlayers to see if it was just a problem with the 2.6-3.0 versions, but it doesn't work anymore in any version. I have to assume it is something with Win XP since I only recently switched from 2K (don't ask - I don't remember why I did that now).
So - is there a program out there that will tell me the ACTUAL framerate of an encoded mpeg2 file? Not the playing framerate - although that would be nice too?
