could someone help me out as i am completely stuck, i want to put avi films and divx films onto dvd-r.

i have got dvd workshop tmpge and virtualdub and sonic dvdit i have tried using the tmpge and when i go to playback on a stand alone dvd i get jerking and/or stopping/crashing.

i have the latest versions of all the products above and sonic and dvd workshop just come up with errors and unable to finish on any of the avi that i have.

p.s. i have tried vcd.help and still no go, would anyone have the settings which i need to make for the tmpge software. I have got over 40 dvd placemats.

Have you read the guides at Doom9? There is a specific one for converting AVI to MPEG2 using TMPGE.

If you have then have you checked to see that you can view the converted movie as an MPEG2?

I don't know anything about DVD burning because I don't have a burner. But I would think that since you don't have fancy menus, or IFO editing to do, that you could just burn the MPEG with Nero and that might solve your problems. Can anyone else confirm this?
