Creating 2 Disks, 1 with Movie, 1 with Extras??

Hi, I am doing ICE_AGE now and dont really want to re encode any video, so i am thinking of putting the movie on 1 disk and the special features on an other!!

will this work?? >

for the movie disk:

just remove the VTS_03_x.VOB set (which is the extras) and copy all the other files as they are!

for the extras disk:

just remove the VTS_01_x.VOB set (which is just the movie) and copy the other files as they are!

resulting in 2 disks, both with origanal menu, the 1st will have the movie but no special features and the 2nd will have no movie but all special features, untouched!!

is this a valid method or is there any reason this wont work??

This is what I am doing for some movies, when I want to transfer the extras as well.

I have not bothered though to deactivate the buttons that link to the missing files.

Can you explain how to do that? thats a good idea on putting the movie on 1 dvd-r and the extra on the 2nd dvd-r. thanks
