I think the subject pretty much expains what I wanna know. I just was wondering how I get decent, non high pitched outta sync audio from a mpg.
Thanks,

You wanna extract the sound from your MPG file?
Go to TMPG, under File -> MPEG Tools, there you choose demultiplex, you'll get then a video-only file and an mp2 file.
Then you can do with that mp2 file what you wanna do.

yeah, I've tried that already and the mp2 comes out sounding nice but when I convert it to mp3 it sounds bad. I've tried in TMPG to just go to file - save as - WAVE but turns out choppy, I have also tried Nandub and Virtualdub but it is out of sync. I also tried converting the .mp2 to .ogg with Oggmachine and it sounded really good but the ogg kept freezing up the programs I loaded it into.

Decode the MP2 to WAV using WinAmp or something.
Then encode the WAV to a rather higher MP3 bitrate in RazorLame, say at least 160kbps Joint Stereo, since you're recompressing an already highly compressed file.
I guess, you can also do it directly in BeSweet (I just rarely use it, so I can't tell you for sure)
