Can anyone help?
I have a Samsung DVD S-224 which plays any DVD created by Ifoedit and to get most movies onto one disc I strip streams and creat new files which:
for _TS and VTS_01.0 gives IFO and BUP files but no VOB's
But they still play fine with no menus but all chapter info retained so thats fine and I was happy to do this virtually all the time.
However the Samsung will not play home made DVD'd burned with Pinnacle studio 8. It hangs on the menu screen so I bought an additional DVD player, the Sony DVP NS305.
This plays the home mades with menus no problem but doesn't play any backups when done as above but plays all the ones that I have split or retained menus.
So I think the Sony needs to have the IFO, BUP and VOB's for _TS IFO, VTS_01.0.
Can anyone suggest any other reason that could account for this or any way round it?
