IfoEdit DVD authoring guide + keep menus?

Is it possible to use IFOEDIT to author the VOB set using the audio and video streams and then use IFOUPDATE to use the original IFO and keep the menu and/or other Title sets???

Or is there a reason why the Doom9 IfoEdit authoring guide doesn't say how to keep menus and extras??

Would there be incompatibilities between the IFOEDIT authored IFOs and the original IFOs that causes it to have problems??...

well.. currently ifoedit can only handle 1 PGC and most movies I know of are multiple PGC so go figure. Furthermore, if you are following the discussion in this forum there's a lot of yet unresolved issues in the DVD authoring feature of IfoEdit so until these are solved there certainly won't be a guide which won't work for a lot of people.
Also, you may know the story of Derrow and DVDXCopy and I'm afraid to say that currently I do not expect great things from the future when IfoEdit is concerned. It has been almost a month since the last beta release and there has been zero end user support since that point as well. I wouldn't want to run into a brick wall trying to promote an application that doesn't fully work and is no longer in development.

I have been messing with it for about a day, and I always get it working for the most part, but like you said there do seem to be a lot of bugs and weird issues with IFOEDIT authoring that other people in the forum are experiencing too. (I haven't been to forum in months)

Looks like I will stick to Scenarist method.
