How can I stretch or squeeze the length of an mp3/riff-wav.
I have an avi file and a riff-wav file. The sound gets more and more out of synch when I mux with virtualdub.
Is there a util I can download for this? Or a vdub technique? I've searched this site and the vdub forum but didn't find anything.

The following place (http://forum.doom9.org/search.php?s=) in this forum might help with your problem.

I've already tried searching forum, which is why I did the first post.
Perhaps you could advise on search tips. Perhaps there is a name for the process I'm asking for. I've been through the audio section but found nothing that seemed to realate to what I'm after.

Uh, for me, a search with "audio+stretch" brings up some really nice threads ... ;)
In short:
take an audio editor (CoolEdit, WavLab, ...[many others]), load your file, adjust the length
OR
before muxing in Virtualdub, under "Video" set the option to adjust video's frame rate to match audio length (-> only chance to avoid re-encoding of audio if source already is MP3)
OR
measure how much you're off at the end of the file, calculate a bit, and set an appropriate value for "ResampleAudio" in AviSynth
OR
read more threads ;)
There's no single magic button to push!
